Rocky Mountain River Guides provides you with the whitewater rafting experience of a lifetime! Come to Jasper, Alberta for a broad spectrum of river rafting trips for you to choose from, for those who want a fun family activity to those who want more a more thrill-seeking outdoor adventure.
Rocky Mountain River Guides Ltd. has been operating guided adventure rafting ì
trips in the Canadian Rockies since 1990, and a member of the Jasper National ì
Park Professional River Outfitters Association since the beginning.
Rocky Mountain River Guides prides itself on using high quality equipment and ì hiring qualified professionals with a genuine appreciation for the wilderness ì and river travel.
Our rafting equipment is top of the line, commercial-grade quality.
We ensure our expedition guides are all federally licensed and certified ì River Rescue personnel. Guides have First-Aid training and some also have 100 ì hour Wilderness Emergency and CPR training.
CLASS II RIVERS
The Athabasca River originates 100km south of Jasper from the glaciers of the ì Columbia Icefields. The river was used extensively by fur traders between 1810 ì and 1860, and has been designated a Canadian Heritage River. We raft two ì different sections of this river, with both of them providing exceptional ì views of the Rocky Mountains and sporting some lively rapids.
Mile 5 Run - This two hour trip is suitable for people of all ages.

Canyon Run - A three hour round trip through a spectacular canyon, suitable ì for everyone over the age of 6.

CLASS III
By far our most popular trip and definitely the best whitewater in Jasper, the ì Sunwapta lives up to it's Stony Indian name of "turbulent water". The Sunwapta ì river emerges from the Columbia Icefields and we raft very close to the ì headwaters of this silt-laden river.
Sunwapta River Run - This 3-3.5 hour round trip offers an exciting combination ì of fast rapids, incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. There are no age ì restrictions, however minors must weigh a minimum of 40 kilos (90lbs.)
All equipment and transportation is provided.

3 - 3½ hour trip, great for active first timers & minors over 40 kgs ì (90lbs)

CANCELLATION There will be no refunds given on any of the daily trips unless we receive at ì least 48 hours advance notice of cancellation.
